Just a heads up that we’ll be playing at TEDxSydney again this year. All inside tickets are gone, but you can always hang out in the communal area and still take everything in. We’re doing a recap of our popular setting of Roger Langridge‘s silent comic “Nowhere Special”, premiered at the Graphic Festival last year.

Garden Grooves at Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah

This should be a lovely afternoon among the flora (and perhaps fauna) of the Blue Mountains. Running from 1-5pm with Rachel Hannan’s Trio on before us, it will be an opportunity to picnic with lovely music west of Sydney.

We’re very excited that Neil Gaiman has taken a couple of days out of his travel plans to hike up to Sydney and play a show — and he’s asked us to join him! We’re not going to be able to recap the work we created with him for last year’s Graphic Festival, but we will be performing some new stuff with him, as well playing our own set in support.

Early bird tickets have already sold out! The Factory Theatre website seems not to be selling them (at $45), so call them on 02 9550 3666.

After last year’s amazing experience with Neil Gaiman, we’re back for the second round of Sydney’s Graphic festival. This year we’re playing with legendary UK electronic act Plaid as part of their soundtrack to the also-legendary anime Tekkon Kinkreet (more info here), and we’ve also written a short score to a “silent” comic by Roger Langridge, which we’re performing along with a bunch of other awesome musicians at the Silent Comics event.
